Your mind breaks at the sight -- or is it the multitude of anguished, pleading, weeping, screaming voices that now fill your head? You do not know where they end, and where you begin. As your very self is drowning in the chaos, you hear a silvery laugh asking you why you seem so scared... and then hear nothing at all
Made for my dhampir this moodboard features a variety of both elegance and dark, moody pictures. Gold bars and textures amongst lit candles in a dark room, bones and hands covered in blood, the picture of a young man in the grip of a shadow creature. All geodes, gems, and the earth itself abides. This character always wears sunglasses, even at night (/song reference), and the board was inspired by all of that, plus the UV bowling balls and lanes with their fae-like magic party quality. Whatever happens in life, you just gotta bowl with it and vibe the best you can.
At the top of a grassy hill, there is a cottage, overgrown with moss and vines. When the door opens, a cloud of smoke bursts forth first, and from the smell you can be certain this is not from any fire. Then you see the witch, Althanna. The first thing you notice about her is her hair. It goes down past her knees and is full of plants and twigs. Atop the mess of hair rests Stanley, the ever-faithful raven, staring at you with white eyes. Althanna’s eyes are glassy, purple irises ringed with red. Rainbows shine through beaded curtains and suncatchers throughout the room beyond. She invites you in right away and offers you some tea, a hit from her rainbow, blown-glass bong, and a cookie. The space is filled to the rafters with plants, animal bones and odd knickknacks. Once you’ve spent a few minutes in the witch’s cottage, smoking from the bong, drinking tea, and eating cookies (both of which seem to have been spiked with some sort of drug, magic or both) you cannot help but feel utterly, blissfully, relaxed.
There was a time in my village where magic didnt exist, when the original Astras first discovered ways to harness and use the power in the stars our little town flourished and soon everyone could harness in varying degrees. For a while things were great for a while no one worried and life was easier, that is until it wasnt... Word spread quickly and soon people came to seek this power for themselves. However none not born in Andorim could harness and Astras became a rarity as they were stolen away. Secrets to be kept under lock and key until a king, or hot headed general needed more power to tip the scales in their favor. I watched as friends, neighbors, and family were taken so that they could harness the stars for those that couldnt. Soon someone came for me and my time in Andorim came to an abrupt halt and everything I cherished was stripped away and I had to figure out who I was and where I stood in the war for the skies.

I like to think this is the kind of world Laika experienced on her one-way trip.

Usually found lurking in the shadows, Snow is always looking and listening, ready to face any trouble with a quick throw of her fishing knife. The only thing that takes her not too few times astray from her target is shiny objects. Any and every sparkly thing can be the end of her train of thought. So shiny! Can't.. Resist…
Aluksandr Koval is equal parts a brilliant inventor/engineer, a devoted son, and an asshole on purpose to everyone except his mom. Known as Anders to his friends associates party members, he is practical and efficient to his core and has cemented himself as one of the most reliable individuals embarking on this mission. His inventions have already solved a myriad of bizarre problems, largely falling into the same category of style and core design: clean and simplified art nouveau metal elements decorate his contraptions, each of them powered by arcane sapphires. The biggest of these stones is rough cut dodecahedron the size of his fist, and can usually be found in the abdomen of his orb weaver spider styled homunculus.
